Weekly Update Nov 4 2022

Election Day is this Tuesday, November 8th! On Election Day, polls will be open from 6:00am to 7:00pm. If you haven’t already, find your designated polling location and familiarize yourself with important election information at Virginia Department of Elections.

Early in-person voting ends Saturday, November 5th. If you have not voted by tomorrow, be sure to head to your polling location on Election Day to cast your ballot in this very important election.

Absentee ballots must be postmarked on or before Election Day and received by the general registrar's office by 12:00pm on the third day following the election. Individuals who requested an absentee ballot but would like to vote in person can surrender the absentee ballot at their polling location.

Your vote counts

The 2023 legislative session of the General Assembly is quickly approaching. This is the last call to share your bill ideas for the upcoming session. Please send your ideas to my Chief of Staff, Madison McCabe, in my district office at [email protected]. As always, I look forward to hearing from you and having you participate in the legislative process.

Sincerely,

Delegate Kathleen Murphy

Voters at ballot place

Avoid the Polling Place Scam!

Disinformation is being texted to voters directing them to vote at locations where there are no polling facilities. DON’T BE FOOLED. Authorities are investigating an apparent scam targeting young voters with disinformation texts, using the names of actual organizations to direct their victims to non-existent polling places.

If you have any questions about your polling place, you can find everything you need HERE.
